Luming has over 18 years of experience in private market investments and corporate finance, of which the last 13 years he was with Navis Capital Partners, one of the largest private equity firms in Asia-Pacific with over US$5b of assets under management (AUM). At Navis, Luming led and managed over 25 tech, growth and buyout investments across South-East Asia, Australia and China totalling over US$1.5b where he was responsible for deal sourcing, structuring, investment execution, portfolio management through to divestments. He most recently led the US$250m Series B growth investment into CarDekho, a South-East Asia tech-enabled aggregator for the automotive sector. Notable investments include:

• TES – Oversaw entire investment process, growing business from a regional electronics recycling business to a global IT lifecycle leader, with an eventual successful exit at EV of US$1bn. Completed 15 strategic follow-on M&A, accelerating transformation of business into new geographies and enhancing capabilities
• Imperial Treasure – Grew from a Singapore-focused restaurant business to a global fine-dining leader, with 7 Michelin stars and presence across 7 major cities across Asia and Europe
• Dome Coffees – Strategic repositioning of group to leverage strong brand presence to expand into new offerings, such as integrated hospitality venues
• Adampak – Grew EBITDA by more than 3x across entire investment period
• Callidus Process Solutions – Successful exit with a growth in EBITDA of over 70% over 2.5 years from investment to exit

Other investment deals include Eng Kong, Oriental Group, Celebrity Fitness and Wall Street English. He started his career in 2007 with PwC executing engagements across corporate finance, valuation and commercial & financial due diligence.

Luming holds a double degree in Business Management and Accountancy from Singapore Management University. He was also on the Dean’s List and a SMU Scholar.
